David Banks vs. David Morrissey - Skegness
David Ward (aged 81) is a Jehovah's Witness. He doesn't smoke or drink alcohol. He lives alone in Skegness and longs to be with his mother who died many years ago. His neighbour on the other hand (also called David) likes a 'smoke' and to play loud music. David Morrissey (27) likes a good drink, and can often be seen through the lounge window dancing erratically to 'rave'
The two men have no time for each other at all. In fact, I'd go as far and say they despise one another, arguing over the most trivial of matters, often very heated. They are worlds apart, clashing on so many levels. Each to their own I guess.
I find them both interesting in their own way. I don't judge, and often find myself acting as mediator. The three images above have been selected for the 'Clash' Lacuna Arts Festival in Lanzarote being held on the island in 2022.
UPDATE: David Morrissey, 27, of Somersby Grove Skegness was arrested in connection with a robbery at the Spar shop in Skegness on Monday, March 6. Morrissey has been remanded in custody to appear at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, March 8. Lincolnshire Police originally said a man was arrested following an alleged knife point robbery at the Spar shop in Drummond Road, Skegness.
