The Memory of Trees was exhibited as part of the 0° Festival in Louth, bringing together ten distinctive images that explore trees as living witnesses to time and place. Created in Byford’s recognisable style, the works moved beyond traditional landscape photography, capturing trees in ways that were both unusual and quietly poetic.
Each image invited the viewer to slow down and look again — to consider texture, movement and memory held within bark, branches and shadow. Together, the series formed a visual meditation on nature, presence and the traces we leave behind, offering a contemplative pause within the festival setting.
