🇬🇧 Maedeh Salimian (b. 1990)
I was born in Tehran, but the desire to live freely according to my own beliefs set me on a difficult journey. In 2019, I married my husband, Ata, but for three long years we were separated by borders, politics and thousands of miles.
Eventually, my journey brought me to him in Skegness, where I found a new home and a new sense of hope. Today, I am expecting my first child here, while part of my heart still remains with my family in Iran.
