🇬🇧 Pauline Thornley (b. 1946)
I grew up in the wide open Fens of Lincolnshire, with Skegness, the sea and fishing trips all part of my childhood. At school, I learned to change the way I spoke in order to fit in, and discovered how easily you can lose a little of yourself along the way.
Writing helped me find my own voice again. After years away, I returned to Skegness, where the dunes, the tides and the landscape still remind me of who I am and where I come from.
